GoldMine lovers will appreciate the "GoldMine-like" look and feel of this product. You'll quickly recognize old friends such as pressing F2 for lookup lists and right clicking to see submenus. This may sound like a small thing, but it really made using this product a seamless extension of our GoldMine. We found it very easy to build an inventory of our products and services (either by hand or importing from your accounting software, in our case QuickBooks) and then produce professional looking quotes with contact information supplied by our GoldMine. |

Cool features we liked included the ability to set list pricing, discounted pricing, retail pricing...as well as product bundles and even semi-intelligent product configurations. These configurations even allowed us to "ask" the person building the quote pertinent questions so that they made the right choices in assembling a complete quote. Quotes can be turned into purchase orders and orders, saving the redundant re-entry of key information. Another neat feature was the ability to load the entire Tech Data, Merisel, and other major distributor libraries into the program.

QuoteWerks has a built-in report writer, similar to the GoldMine report writer, that lets you review the status of your quotes, purchase orders, and orders. Optional links to PeachTree, and QuickBooks are available, as well as an Open Export module for the creation of test files for importing into other accounting packages. The installation process was straightforward, with an optional section for selecting which fields are shared with your GoldMine.
