How many of you go to a trade show or networking event and come back with a stack of business cards that you put next to your computer in the hopes that one day, you'll have enough free time to enter them into GoldMine. Months later, you find yourself digging frantically through the pile saying, "Where is that card for the woman with the company name that sounded like....." Good news. There is a better way, and it is called CardScan. It does a surprisingly good job at reading the myriad of business card designs, putting the data into the correct fields, then creating contact records. |

"Let me try! Let me try!"
|
Corex Technologies is the developer of CardScan, which scans business cards intelligently, classifying card information such as name, title, company name, address, telephone and fax number, e-mail address and URL in the appropriate database fields. In our tests, we found it easier to use CardScan and correct the occasional misread than it was to manually enter the cards. It was easy to install and set up. You start by plugging in the scanner, then loading the software, then calibrating the scanner by sending through the special card that comes with the machine. It took about 15 minutes, start to finish.
